Rachel’s Rangers:

Kearney House. On the first hike, they go to
“Cape Fly Away”...

...the next hike takes them to
“Who Rock” from State Line Lookout (including a
glimpse of some unusual “graffiti” at Ruckman Point)...


...the third hike (after starting out with an unusual visitor in the parking
area)
takes the group along the shore to explore old bathing beaches and a
19th-century cemetery hidden in the Park.

“Hawks Over the Hudson,” sponsored with the Nature Program Cooperative, was
held at State
Line Lookout on October 2, 2011, featuring presentations by Bill
Streeter of the Delaware Valley Raptor Center. Below, Gil Hawkins of
Overpeck Preserve and Debora Davidson of Tenafly Nature Center share their
expertise with visitors to the event.
