“Camp Palisades” | Children’s Outdoor Nature Program

Camp Palisades Information & Registration

We are pleased to offer “Camp Palisades” — our children’s outdoor nature program — at the Palisades Interstate Park in New Jersey, weekdays August 14 to 18 and August 21 to 25. Campers can sign up for one week or two. Both weeks will have similar themed days, but activities are ample! Suggested ages are eight to twelve.

Led by the park’s Trail Crew, camp will meet at the Alpine Pavilion at Alpine Picnic Area & Boat Basin (accessible from the Alpine park entrance at PIP Exit 2 — click here for detailed directions), and go from 9 AM to 3 PM. Campers will experience the many features of the New Jersey Palisades through a series of games, hikes, and activities. They will learn outdoor survival skills, seine the Hudson River, take a day hike, explore the hidden nooks of the Palisades, and join the Trail Crew for a family campfire on Friday evening.

The program emphasizes hands-on activities. Children should wear sturdy footwear, clothing suitable for outdoor activities, and bring their own lunches and water bottles. Campers will also need water shoes, a towel, and change of clothes to keep at camp throughout the week. In case of rain, camp will be held in the Alpine Pavilion.

The cost for the program is $175.00 per child per week.
Sibling Discount! For siblings the cost is $150 per sibling per week.
