All full-time positions in
the NJ Section are filled through the
NJ State Civil Service Commission.

Throughout the year, we rely
on part-time and seasonal employees
to supplement the work of our full-time
staff. These employees are hired directly by the NJ Section and help staff our
concession stands, boat basins, and historic sites; maintain our trail
system; assist in administrative and maintenance tasks; and staff our entrance
booths and provide visitor information. Many of these jobs are ideal for students or retirees.

Area Attendant
30-40 hrs./wk.
$10/hr.
Positions Available mid April
- Control traffic
- Provide visitors with Information
- Collect recycling
- Assist with maintenance projects
MUST
- work weekends and holidays between late May through early
September
- possess communication and people skills
- be able to tolerate heat
- be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- have a valid driver’s license

Seasonal Trail Crew
35-40 hrs./wk.
$10/hr.
Positions Available
- Trail
maintenance
- Wet and
dry stone masonry
- Assisting with park events and programs
MUST
- work outdoors in all weather conditions
- be able to lift 60 lbs.
- work some weekend days
- have a valid driver’s license
WARNING: Trail Crew members often come in contact
with poison ivy, ticks, wasps, and the like. Those
with severe reactions should reconsider applying.

Concession Stand Helper at
State Line Lookout
about 30 hrs./wk.
$8/hr.
- Cooking, Cleaning, Cash Register
