Hudson Drive Information on this page current as of

Constructed between 1916 and 1940,
this scenic road begins at the Edgewater–Fort Lee border, winds its way along the
Hudson River
for 7 miles, and ends at the
Alpine
Boat Basin & Picnic Area.

Dyckman Hill Road joins Henry Hudson Drive from the east end
of Palisade Avenue in Englewood Cliffs (PIP Exit 1)
following the steep hill toward the river to the
Englewood
Boat Basin & Picnic Area.
Bicycles are not permitted on the upper portion of
Dyckman Hill Road. |

Alpine Approach Road connects to Henry Hudson Drive in Alpine, off
U.S. Route 9W about 1
mile north of Closter Dock Road (PIP Exit
2, Park Headquarters).

Henry Hudson Drive is open to cars and
bicycles daylight hours (conditions permitting) from
mid-April to mid-November. Due to rock slides, tree falls,
and other emergency situations, the Drive may need to be temporarily closed. At such
times the Drive is closed to all vehicles, including bicycles.

When a barrier has been put in place by the Park on any of its roadways,
the roadway beyond that barrier is to be considered closed for all use; those
going beyond such a barrier are subject to prosecution.
