Historical Background

Members from over a dozen living history groups will commemorate the 233rd Anniversary of the British Invasion of New Jersey at Fort Lee Historic Park on the weekend of 21 and 22 November 2009. Re-enactors representing Continentals, Militia, British, Hessian, and Loyalist troops will take part in field and camp activities throughout the weekend.

Fort Lee Historic Park, on Hudson Terrace in Fort Lee, has added new attractions over the past years, including a replica blockhouse, officer’s hut, and functioning 32-pounder artillery piece.
