From September through December and March through June, schoolchildren in grades five and older who are studying the American Revolution and would like to experience life as an eighteenth-century soldier-recruit in George Washington's Continental Army, can visit Fort Lee Historic Park for a five-and-a-quarter-hour "living history" program that combines discussion, demonstration, and hands-on participation—to give students a complete learning experience.
